    The Not-So Dead: Salome’s Story

~~Excerpt~~ Salome ran her fingers over the blanket on the guest bed. Whirls of patterns stood out, etched upon the fabric like her thoughts of late. Despite the streams of light that fell across her face from the brightness of the day, her thoughts were decidedly less than sunny. Her preparations for an upcoming guest had done little to shake her from the dull stupor that had plagued her as she settled into the life of a married woman. Errant strands of black hair fell in front of her eyes and she absently pushed them back as she tried to recall where her husband, Percy, had said the fabric beneath…

    The Not-So Dead: Maddy’s story

~~Excerpt~~ The two-story house that would be their new home was shockingly pedestrian with its plain white siding and its wrap-around porch, elevated off the uneven ground on rickety stilts. Maddy wouldn’t have chosen the place in a million years. She wasn’t at all excited to find herself so near to the west coast and yet so far from any real urban action. Portland wasn’t too far, but she seriously doubted she’d get the chance to visit and check it out. Author podcast and DIY swag??

I’ve been in a DIY mood lately. I’ve cut back on writing to give my brain a little time to rejuvenate and recharge. Don’t get me wrong. I’m still writing but I feel that my best work reveals itself when I’m not forcing myself to get out 2,000 words after a long day. Some authors do it and excel at it. Deamhan Update

The Deamhan Chronicles are my pride in joy. Diving deep into this world has provided me with excitement, sorrow, and sometimes frustration. However, I would never do anything different. I feel blessed to have come up with a different species of vampires (psychic vampires.) I’m also thankful for my growing fan base of readers. They find my characters to be complex and interesting. The world of Deamhan is a fun world to write and it continues to grow upon a solid foundation of characterization, plots, and page turners. In doing so, many readers have reached out to me about creating a list of how my books should be read. Nothing…

    First and More to Come?

This is my first official blog post in God knows how long. I’m not a blogger but lately, I feel like I need to share and vent (in a good way) about my progress so far this year. First. I attended Austin Bookstars Event in Austin on the 4th and 5th of May. The event was wonderful and mildly successful. I met and made friends with a few authors, received some much needed feedback, and sold books. I had a great time and I look forward to attending their upcoming event in New Orleans in 2020. While in Texas, I stopped by Fort Worth’s animal shelter and decided to adopt…
